Category: Family Portraits, Slides

I will post a series of slides that Royce took of Adri when he was around 18 months old or so. Royce was experimenting with the use of slides and took a great deal of family photos/portraits on slide film. It is a lot of fun to set up the slide projector and have family photo night from time to time, so I don’t mind having some of our family history archived this way. Lord knows we have plenty of photos to go around….

This photo was taken in our dining room using a white seamless backdrop (a very wide piece of white cloth purchased at Walmart for $1/yard!)

  1. When I first saw this, I thought it was some other professionally done photo. I love it. Very simple, but really professional. Like a magazine photo. Kudos Royce. And that was how many years ago?

  2. That really does look professional. How did he work the lighting?

  3. I have no idea about the lighting - I know we had really good lighting in our dining room - but I think I remember him setting up lights too. I have some other really cute shots from that shoot that I want to get up on the blog because they are just precious. When I had prints done I actually had a little trouble because I got accused of copying professional photographs. LOL! Walmart almost didn’t release the prints to me!

  4. Oh Adri was 18 months old or so - and he’s 11 now - so….10 yrs back?
